This service, by default, is set to start automatically during license software installation process. In other words, the " Sentinel LDK License Manager" service is responsible for reading the Advantage License Hardware key and then passing this information to the License Manager. Proficy Licensing depends on this service to read the key information. The hardware key service called, " Sentinel LDK License Manager" must be started and running at all times for the license manager to read the license information. Verify this by making sure that the red (amber) light on the key is lit and steady.In order for License Manager to read the license on the Advantage USB key, the computer must first be able to read the key. This is the case if the light on the key is lit.ġ) Make sure the computer is reading the USB key. So, any computer ID that includes any alpha characters will be a clear indication that License Manager is not reading the hardware key. When the License Manager reads the key, the Computer ID will be a series of numbers ONLY and no alpha characters.
